ABOUT US

Advocates for Animals in Jackson County is a 501c3 organization created for the health and welfare of companion animals and the people who love them in our community.

We are excited to be an asset to pets and people in our community and eager to assist when necessary. What we intend to contribute through our organization is listed below. We specifically want to focus on pet retention, and helping to keep the pet in the home through various partnerships and resources.

– Pet Food & needed supplies
– Pet Medications
– Pet Fencing
– Short term placement for pet service
– Community Education & Outreach
– Assistance with rehoming when necessary

Through volunteerism and partnerships, we hope to implement programs in the community to encourage responsible pet ownership and provided the above services to assist families with pet care and other necessary needs. We will assist community members with pet rehoming needs, by networking with local rescues to accomplish this. We will help facilitate education and advocacy programs for animal care through local businesses and other agencies and assist in providing means for necessary animal care to benefit both pets and their people when facing challenging times. We want to offer outreach in our community that will improve the quality of life for animals here and provide a place for community engagement.

We encourage you to consider volunteering with us. The success of this organization will depend on its supporters. We hope you’ll consider joining our efforts, they will be rewarding.

If you know of a person or family that is financially or otherwise challenged in taking care of their pet(s), please refer them to us. We can be reached by the following:
